Flasher Fiction Friday - Opiate

Lisa whimpered as she sat up. She hurt everywhere, worse below the waist than above. They didn’t want to damage her pretty face after all.
Reaching over her head, she probed the tender knot on the back. As she did her hands brushed red flowers twined there. She ripped them out savagely, throwing them amid the others in the field.
How could he do this? How could her father let them take her like this? For another shipment of opium. She rose unsteadily and followed the broken stems to the mansion where they kept her.

One day, he would pay.

Yes, dark today. The others are hopefully less so. You can find more pieces of 100 words based on this same picture by going to the Flasher Fiction Friday blog.
