Shock registered as his large, firm hand came down hard on her backside. "Jason! Hello teasers! Sorry to have missed you the last couple weeks. I blame the cold for most of it. Thought I'd bring you another tease from my medical romance. Dr. Edgerton, Jeremy, is ready to submit to Mistress D. Are you ready for it?

"Now, I’ve been curious since you approached me. What do you have under there?” She pointed to his belt.
He closed his eyes and screwed up his courage. He’d dropped his pants here before, but being exposed and sucked didn’t compare to standing amid a room full of people completely in the buff.
“Do you need—” Mistress D’s words cut off as he dropped his pants and stepped out of them, kicking off shoes and socks. “Oh, my. Nothing else beneath? Is that common for you?”
“N-no, Mistress, but I didn’t know what would please you. Does this?” His hardness had flagged slightly with anxiety, but it grew again as her eyes, visible through the holes of her mask widened. Deep blue eyes. More than every he wanted to know who they belonged to. Who was she?
“A fine choice. Next time you might consider something soft and loose.” She walked around him, stilettoes clicking on the floor tiles. “Then I might pull them down and reveal this fine ass.”
He groaned as she seized both his buttocks in her hands.

“You make a fine point, though. We haven’t had a chance to discuss our expectations. For instance, are you experienced here?”:” She pulled his cheeks apart and slid her thumbs toward his anus.
“No, Mistress.”
“Are you open to the possibility?” Her finger drew a line up the crack and then his spine.

Sliding it over his eyes, she tied it behind his head. “Do you trust me?”
The question oddly relaxed him, probably because he knew his answer. “Yes, Mistress.”
“Good.” The word drawled and rolled, like a kiss for his ears. “First, for your sass.” She smacked him with an open hand. However, without his pants to dampen the spanking, he was soon gritting his teeth.
She seemed to know when the pain reached his tipping point, stopping and pressing herself against his back. Her hands came around his waist to rub down his thighs. “Color?”
Sighing as the sharpness faded into heat, he unclenched his jaw and answered. “Green.”
“Oh, good.”

Welcome to our Spotlight! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?

I have been a writer for a long time. I remember writing my first story in high school, not including little things over the years, but an actual story. Unfortunately, the computer crashed and I lost that story, but it was definitely the start on this path. I came to writing after reading so many books and always having different stories running through my head. I remember in grade 11, school just started after summer break and the teacher asked, “Who read this summer?” After seeing a couple hands he asked “Who read over 5 books this summer?” most hands went down. After changing the number he finally asked how many books did I read that summer and I said 102. He was so happy and congratulated me and informed the class the joys of reading. At the time I didn’t care, those who knew me knew how much I read, worked, and still had fun, so I didn’t care. But it definitely shaped my writing today. I don’t think I will ever forget that moment.

How did you come up with this storyline?

Honestly, I have issues with sleeping. I am that person who stays in that half awake half asleep stage for a while. One time that is what happened and I over saw this entire story one day before waking up. As soon as I woke up I ran to my desk to get the things I could remember down so I could make it into the story I envisioned.

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?

The best is by far telling the stories you are so excited for and seeing the way they grow and change. The worst word be my ability to believe in my writing. I have times while writing where I just think, wow this stuff is shit. But, I push through and always get to the end and realize as an author you are biased against your own work.

What inspires you to write?

I am inspired to write by all the things I see everyday. I understand everyone has something they may not want to deal with in their life or maybe they just want to live in a little fantasy life. If I can do that, for even a short time, my goal is complete.

What are 3 of your favorite quotes from **Alpha's Surprise**?

-Her musical laughs echo around the empty room. "Don't worry. You definitely didn't hurt me," she says, still smiling. Leaning forward, she gives him a kiss.

-"Hey, boss," Anthony says, eyebrows raised. "Everything alright?"

Running a ruff hand across his stubble, he says, "Yeah. Why wouldn't it be alright?"

"Um, dude … you have to actually crack an egg in to the frying pan and turn it on for it to cook."

- Kane, expecting his wolf to growl, hears nothing. Just sees him preening around like a peacock. Kane huffs, causing another chuckle to escape Shawn's lips.

What would your friends say is your best quality?

I would say either my willingness to help others or the ability to work so hard. If I can help someone, even if it means ten times more work, I will try as hard as I can to help them out.

Are reader reviews important to you? Why?

Yes they are. I like to know what my readers think. I know I can’t please everyone, but if they have any constructive criticism to help me out, awesome. If they want to let me know how much they loved the series or if they want to know more about Dez, these are all things I want to know so I can plan accordingly when possible.

What do you do when you don’t write?

I proofread and edit books and create covers and graphics. But before all that I was a private investigator and Security guard while also being a dog groomer. A pretty random mix. lol

Tell us about your other books?

Since I haven’t even been an author for a year, I don’t have many books out yet. I have a short story, Christmas Cinderella, in the Holiday Heartwarmers Anthology. It is a modern retelling of Cinderella which I plan to make into a full length novel. I also have Saved by Him, in the Billionaire Ever After Boxed set. It is about a woman finding strength after losing a lot and taking a chance on a man who isn’t who she thought he was. Then my other book is Chance Encounter, in the Falling for the Billionaire Boxed set. It is about a woman learning to trust and grow, while he learns to forgive, in hopes of a future that they both can live in.
