Pablo Michaels - The Boys Club

Today I'm happy to introduce Pablo Micahels, a fellow Naughty Nights Press Author. Your blog is populated with many entries for Tantalizing Tuesday, something I enjoy and participate in as well. Do you ever have trouble finding a picture or a story? Which is harder, the words or the photo?

I love participating in Tantalizing Tuesday Teasers. It gives me a chance to write when I don’t have time and also read what other authors are creating. The biggest task for me is to find photos. If I find one in my limited gallery, the words just seem to flow, so much I have to edit and limit my words to two hundred. A few of my entries are going to be stories to continue, like “I Miss Him”, my current work in progress.

I understand. I tend to alternate between stories inspired by photos and searching for photos to fit the piece I have. The former is infinitely easier in my opinion. What gave you the push to submit for Boys Club? What made "A Night in San Gregorio Beach" stand out to you among your other writing?

Friday Flasher Fiction - The Fight

Friday Flashing! Great 100 word teases to this picture. Read all the others on the blog.
This day had to come. Inevitably they would argue, have differences and living together would be hard. She just hadn’t expected it so soon. One missed bill - one - and she curled on her side of the bed pretending he wasn’t there. Glancing over her shoulder, he faced away, still stubborn.

Just as tears threatened to spill from her eyes, she was rolled onto her back. “You know what? Accidents happen. Right now, I’m going to take my frustration out on you.” Her smile and laugh released the last of the tension just as he started attacking her pyjamas.

Thickness of Blood - Kimberly Gould

Today I rub my own nose in my duplicity. I'm happy to interview Kimberly Gould author of the recently released Thickness of Blood. Your website has a strong focus on your previous title, Cargon: Honour and Privilege. Do you plan to change the style to reflect your newest novel?

Starting with a tough one. My web designer, who I like to call dear, has been distracted of late. Although we have plans to revamp the website - make buy links more obvious, sort information in a more friendly manner - we didn't have plans to change the style per se.

Your first title was geared to Young Adults. Is Thickness of Blood the same?

Tantalizing Tuesday - Jocelyn's limits

Remember to check out all the Tantalizing Tuesday Tales via the blog. Today I have an excerpt from Jocelyn's story, a prequel to Blue Moon House.

When Louis was brought to her room, it was to fuck her throat. Those were Will's exact words and Louis was obedient. Jocelyn had actually vomited, using her word as soon as the bile stopped spilling from her lips.

“Louis. Clean that,” Will ordered. The man jumped to do his master's bidding. Will stripped the soiled robe from Jocelyn and carried her to the kitchen, setting her on the table.

“Sorry,” she said with downcast eyes.

Will paused in wetting a soft cloth at the pump. He wrung it out and mopped at her chest with the cool damp rag.

“Nonsense. You have impressed me,” he told her, brushing her hair back. “I expected you to demand he stop after the first thrust. You have come a long way.” He rinsed out the cloth and filled a glass with the water for her to drink before using the cloth on the dirty streaks in her hair.

She drank greedily, trying to wash the burn from her throat.

Will took the glass and pulled it away. “Not too much. You'll upset your stomach again.” It flopped at that moment, agreeing with the Master.

“Yes, sir,” Jocelyn agreed, taking a sip.

“Better.”

The Triad - Sharita Lira

I'm happy to host one of the authors of Naughty Nights Press September releases. Sharita Lira is the author of Sugar Daddy. Well, more specifically, Rawiya is. Confused? So was I. It turns out Sharita has three incarnations, like those Hindu gods. Together, they are The Literary Triad (@rawiyamikembl). What makes Sugar Daddy a Rawiya book and not a BLMorticia or Michael Mandrake book?

Rawiya’s books are more sensual than BL’s or Michael’s. Her love scenes are longer, the characters tend to be a lot more emotional.

Which of your muses are men? How do they present differently than women?

Flasher Fiction Friday

“Hi, Steve.”

What? She’s talking to me?

“Uh, hi, Jill. Have a good weekend?”

Small talk is good.

“Yeah, went to a friend’s for a barbeque. You?”

“The usual, football with friends.”

You really think she’s interested in your stupid game of catch with Ken and Doug? Don’t stare at the cup. Don’t stare at her lips on the cup. Don’t stare. Fuck those lips. What was she saying?

“Did you want a taste? It’s the new blend Marie brought in. A little slice of heaven”

Share her cup? My lips... her lips... “Looks too hot for heaven.” Fuck me.

In Honour of the Lost - Bloghop

When I saw Kharisma's post about POW recognition day, I wanted to help out. I'm not always vocal about my support of the armed forces, but they do have a special place in my heart. It is a job I couldn't do and respect their efforts.

I shudder to think of not knowing where my loved one is, if he is even alive, what might be done to him. My imagination can draw up all forms of terror and yet, I'm sure, it isn't a match next to the flame of reality.

In recognition of all POWs I'm giving away a copy of either Campus Sexploits 3 or Blue Moon House to a commenter. This hop lasts until the end of the week, so that is when I will draw a winner. Let me know what you think about Prisoners of War.
Visit all the blogs on this hop!

The death of Summer

I have one last trip out of town. This next week we will collect the last vegetation samples before the first frosts and coming snow. Yes, I live in Canada. Winter comes earlier here and we have Thanksgiving in October. I've been working on a video trailer for Blue Moon House and it looks pretty awesome! My husband is going to help me clean it up when I get back at the end of the week.

If you have any updates or interesting people/bloggers I should be interviewing, let me know! I'm happy to give time and place here for friends of friends. Finally, a little excerpt from Blue Moon House because I just can't resist. Something fitting the death of summer.

In a great burst of blinding white pain she collapsed back to the bed, panting, only she wasn’t getting breath. She heaved harder, dragging the air into her. Against her own strangled breath, she heard a sob. It sounded like Sophia. Julia put her hands to her chest, trying to claw, but unable to do much with them tied together. She tried to pull at her nose and face. She probably would have scraped herself raw if she hadn’t been secured. She thrashed, trying to find air, and would have fallen from the bed if not for her ankles. Instead, she hung precariously over the side, her vision filled with the quietly weeping Harry who held himself against his own pain as well as hers. It was the last thing she saw as her vision blurred and then went black.

A Little Mini-Madness - DeLeetra Staley

Today I have the pleasure of introducing another erotica author, DeLeetra Staley, and her book A Little Mini-Madness. Here's a synopsis:
Meet Quintessa Nevaeh James. A strong, independent, take charge woman with one flaw, she has a habit of thinking out loud. Quint also has an addiction to shoes that might be reason she has no man, she's never meet a man she loved more than her heels. Quint works for TGP(Thoroughly Groomed Personnel), one of the top temp agency's in New York. She is career oriented and thinks she only needs a man for the basics, which all revolve around the bedroom. Love is for suckers as far as Quint is concerned.

In walks Alejandro Sin'Jin Galliani, a successful businessman, in desperate need of a temporary personal assistant. With his domineering, alpha male personality Quint can tell that Alejandro is a man accustomed to getting what he wants, and he wants Quint. But this time Alejandro may have bitten off more than he can chew, while Quint is wondering if there is more to this arrangement then him needing a top notch PA?

Take everyday humor and the odd things that can happen when two people fall in love, then top it off with three nosey friends, a diva Siamese cat and a witch of a boss and A Little Mini-Madness will have you wondering why everyday isn't a shoe shopping day.

What made you decide to take the leap and publish?

Flasher Fiction Friday - the Morgue #flasherfriday

Tony shivered. “How do you get her to look so...life-like?”

“All in the make-up. I like the clothes myself. That flapper costume’s been in the back of Drew’s closet for years.”

“Where’d you get the sheets?”

David snorted. “Would you believe it’s extra satin from the coffins next door?”

“No way.”

“Yeah, people want white and they rip out the red.”

“Why the tie?”

“What?”

“Why do you have tie in there?”

“Shit! I’ve been looking for that.” David snatched it up, tying it in place.

“How long have you had her lying like that?”

“Ten hours? Let’s go.”

Read all the Flasher Friday pieces by popping to the blog and following the links. This Friday I'm a judge on the #FridayPictureShow on Jen DeSantis' blog. Come, write a flash piece, enter to win Blue Moon House! :) I'm a judge, but everyone wins.

Blood Stone release with #free #giveaway

I'm so happy to get to take part in Tracy Cooper-Posey's release week blog hop. She is celebrating the release of Blood Stone on September 14, the sequel to Blood Knot which is FREE September14-16 so you can read it before the sequel. So that's free, but we also have a giveaway, of Blood Knot to a commenter who just can't wait until Friday.

Tracy has very active blog, so I asked her a few questions about it. You blog almost daily. Do you ever get burnt out? Where do you turn for something new to blog?

The Tarot Diaries - Elicia Seawell

What would you do if you could find out your purpose in life? Would you want to know or be completely left in the dark?

Katie Jenkins finds out her purpose, but not in a way most people do. After a night of shots of tequila and a bet from her best friend, she is coerced to seek a fortune teller for insight into her future. What she finds out changes her life forever.

Katie comes from a long line of Romanian Gypsies cursed with the ability to not only read Tarot cards, but they also have to deliver the bad news to whomever the cards reveal. She, along with her best friend Phoenix (Finny) Carrington, seeks out those who are doomed and try to change their lives before something awful happens to them.

Can Katie stop a mad man from the deaths that surround her, or will she fall victim to the very same mad man responsible for the death of so many?

I'm very happy to announce a new release from my friend Elicia. She's the one who convinced me to send Blue Moon House to my publisher, so she gets giant props from me. In an odd twist of fate, we both released the same week!

Tantalyzing Tuesday - Shipbound

Sophie took her ease. The men were on deck, likely getting drunk. A luxury, time to herself. Had she worn any clothes, she would doff them. Instead, she used the boiled water to bathe her skin. The water had cooled over the day, but like everything on the ship, it was warm now, tepid. Evaporating, it did help relieve the heat.

Toweling pooled at her waist while she stretched each toe, flexing her feet and bending to rub them. Sitting back, she picked up a knife and trimmed her toenails. They could wriggle into a chink in a hull, a knot in a line, or the leg of a man, massaging and working each to her end.

Next she applied the knife to her fingers, removing caulking and tar that had built up. Her eyes moved from her hand to the door that was opening when it shouldn’t be. The captain stood on the other side, expectant. Hadn’t she done enough today? Helping hold the ship through a storm after servicing most of his crew had been a herculean task.

“Be ye available for one more, lass?”

The threw the knife so it caught the wall beside him.

“One, yes.”

Flasher Fiction Friday and Three more blog stops

“Don’t be such a baby.”
“I am not a baby!”
“Just let me see.”
“No. It’s fine. Leave it alone.”
"The reception doesn’t start for another hour. Let me see.”
“Fine.”
He lay back on the bed they would share that night before the honeymoon. The searing pain that ran up his leg made him scream. When it died, he heard his blushing bride’s laughter.
The bandage over his new tattoo had gotten stuck to his pant leg and torn free as she pushed it up. Great. Now the surprise was ruined.
“Aw, it’s so cute!” she said between chuckles.

Today I am fortunate enough to be posting on Elicia Seawell's,  D.C. McMillan's and Savannah Chase's blog. To D.C.'s readers I bring a little levity in the form of fictitious sex. Let's face it, the fantasy kicks reality's butt, until your alone in your bed waiting for your partner because reading got you fired up. :) For Savannah's blog I wrote about my vampires. Everyone's vampires come from a slightly different mythos. Head over here to learn a bit about mine.

And after that visit all the blogs doing Flasher Fiction Friday. 100 words based on the pictures above.

Eden Baylee

I'd like to introduce to Eden Baylee. She is the author of a paired anthology set, Fall into Winter and Spring into Summer. I like the titles of your paired anthologies. Is there a reason you wrote them in the order you did?

I wrote Fall into Winter first. The book was published in December 2010, but I wanted to launch it for Valentine’s Day February 2011, which made more sense for a book of erotica. I always knew I would complete all the seasons with my books, so Spring into Summer was the next one.

Most of your writing seems to be in short form (stories in an anthology, flash fiction). Are you planning on writing something longer or sticking with your strength?

Blog Tour

I'm not here today. I'm living it up over at Keta Diablo's keep and Tonya Cannariato's Book A Day. I'll be back tomorrow with Eden Baylee for an interview! Stop by and learn more about her paired anthologies.

Tantalyzing Tuesday - Kimono

For all the other Tantalizing Tuesday Teasers, go here. And now, my pic:

Nabiki followed her sisters. Her kimono was plainer than theirs, her first real one. It had belonged to Yukiko and Sakura before her. They had each worn it proudly, as she did now.

“Here, Nabiki,” Yukiko said to her. “Enter this booth.” Sakura began giggling as soon as she and Yukiko had stopped.

“Why?” she asked, curious at their response.

“Because you’re a woman now.”

Trusting her sisters, Nabiki entered the booth, silk curtain falling behind her.

“Another of Genma’s daughters,” the man in the booth said. “Lovely as her sisters. Come here, child.”

He began easing her kimono open. At first Nabiki struggled, but the man put his mouth to her neck. Then she could smell his musk. Clouding her mind, he became more handsome, more alluring. She had only just begun enjoying touching herself, but after inhaling his scent, it seemed all her skin prickled and tingled. Every brush of his fingers sent her awareness further from the festival to focus on his mouth, his fingers, the rod prodding her thigh. She was naive to that, but in that moment, knew what she wanted to do with it, knew instinctively where it should go.

“Yes, child. That’s it.”

Blog Tour

Lokians and Aaron Dennis

Jumping back into the saddle. And here to help me is Aaron Dennis. He is here to tell us a little about his writing experience and his book series.

You write hard sci fi. Not just hard in the extra-terrestrial sense, hard in the researched plausible science sense. How much work did that take?

Hours... many, many hours of research and double checking. It was actually quite a bit of fun. While I've always had a propensity for theoretical sciences, I had an opportunity to play with basic knowledge. I bought an astrophysics textbook and read through it, downloaded several term published term papers, and existing studies. Also I watched some youtube vids on magnetics and downloaded available schematics on rocket engine design. Naturally, plugging it all in the story would have made it more educational and less thrilling, not what I wanted, so I just alluded to facts.

Do you have any science degrees or other academic learning that you draw on?
