Eighteen but not a man - Birthday #TantalizingTuesday

Tantalizing Tuesday is One Year Old!!! Make sure you visit the blog today for all the birthday goodness.

Tara danced for the boys. He might be eighteen today, but that didn’t make him a man. The only one of those watched her from the entrance to the hall.
While the boys’ eyes were glued to her breasts and hips, his cool gaze stayed on her face. The boys reminded her that she was undressed, but he made her feel naked, like he could see through to her soul.
At the end of the third track, she grabbed her coat in relief. The boys booed and begged for an encore, but the man in his forties hushed them.
Tara pocketed her IPhone and speaker while he held out a wad of twenties with a card on top.
“I’m sure you get this all the time, but I’d like to have dinner sometime. No expectations.” He continued to hold her gaze, his eyes searching hers.
She blinked, breaking the contact to focus on the salt and pepper stubble on his chin. “I’ll think about it,” she promised, putting the wad in her pocket.
He held the door for her and she heard, “Did you ask her out? You haven’t dated since Mo-”
Heat flushed her cheeks. When had she blushed last?

A bit tangental to birthdays, but there it is. I'm giving away a $20 gift cert for the Naughty Nights store. That will buy a LOT of ebooks. I only hope my Blue Moon House will be among them. And if you hold on to some until April 27th, you'll be able to grab my new release as well! (More news on that later...)

The Word Count Podcast - Photograph

I've participated again in the Word Count Podcast. I hope you'll visit the site and listen to all the stories, but if you don't have time, or you're just curious to read it, here is my submission for the latest episode, #29. It is a Blue Moon House story! I hope you like it.

I wandered through the scenes, taking only a quick note of each. The familiar mixed with the extreme, giving anyone unaccustomed to the lifestyle a sampling of where things began and where they could go.

The man strapped down to the pommel horse cried out as a cane connected with his thighs. His ass cheeks already glowed red. His black hair glistened as sweat trickled through. What caught my eye, however, was the red rope securing his wrists behind his back. It was a fine blend of silk and elastic, perfect for tightening as he strained without ever cutting into his skin. His wrists would be unblemished. Sadly, his backside could not claim the same.

Saturday #Afterdark - I want you

This story is a continuation of several Flasher Fiction Fridays. This is the first, then this, and this and this. Now that you're all caught up, let's see how Carey and Doug reconcile.

"You don't want me. You want those perfect girls with their perfect pussies."
"You are a perfect girl," Doug said, leaning toward her. He was so tentative, scared she'd run. "I love the way you look. If I had pictures of you, I'd never look at those other ones again." He stood up and paced around in front of her, another sign of his anxiety. "Fuck, when you kicked me out...well, you can ask Jerry, I was a wreck. I had no idea what I'd done wrong, but I wanted to do anything I could to fix it. Ally made me crawl," he continued, dropping to his knees. "She said I was a lecherous, selfish asshole and that you were better off without me. I think she's right. You'll be fine without me, but Carey, I'm not fine without you." His voice choked. He rubbed his stubbly face and bagged eyes. Carey had been so surprised to see him that she hadn't noticed how tired he looked, how strained.
"Doug? Are you okay?"

#FFF Flasher Fiction Friday - Can I please get dressed now?

Fridays are for Flashing! 100 words based on the same picture. Make sure you read them all.
Shivering, she placed a palm over one breast, cold where he'd licked it. He wore a shirt and coat while she lay here in next to nothing. Anything for the shot. Were her goosebumps really what he wanted?

He lowered the camera long enough to move her one hand lower and blow across her bare midriff. She shuddered again. "Are you almost done?" she whined.

"Almost," he promised, circling. "Shut up and smile for me."

It was better than most of her gigs. She had some clothes on and no one was trying to fuck her. Maybe she could manage a small smile.

#ThursdayThrill - Where are you?

Reposting my Thrill set in my hometown, Edmonton. We're hoping more of the group can participate this week. Make sure you check out all the other Thrills by checking out our blog.
Lynn wandered the hall. They should have been more specific. This place was huge. How would she ever find him in here. It didn't help that she'd never actually seen him before. Hitching her large purse up on her shoulder, she walked faster.

The purse reminded her of her purpose. It was filled with toys and outfits that she hoped would please her prospective master. Assuming she could ever find him. Tears began to collect in her eyes the farther she trotted. Her heels were killing her feet, but she didn't slow. No, instead she collided with someone, her purse falling to the ground just as she did.

"I'm so sorry," the man who had slammed into her said. That wasn't right, she had slammed into him. He was a middle aged man with a girl behind him, his daughter most likely. He offered her a hand and the girl ran to Lynn's bag.

"It was my fault. I'm in hurry. I'm meeting someone here."

"Your bag is heavy," the girl complained. lifting the strap to hand to Lynn.

Lynn's eyes widened, but thankfully, the zipper hadn't come undone. However, something must have bumped the buttons on one of the vibrators because it was definitely buzzing. Lynn snatched it quickly. "Yes, thank you." She began to run away, but the man caught her elbow.

"You're sure you're okay?" he asked again, warm brown eyes full of concern.

"Yes, but I'm late meeting someone," she said, trying to ignore the vibrating in her bag.

"I see. Have a great day." His hand slipped down to her own and squeezed it. An odd spark flared through her at the small, friendly gesture.

He turned and took his daughter's hand, wandering slowly down the aisle. Lynn stood staring for a second. She had never been interested in a vanilla relationship, but something about that man pulled at her. She cursed that she didn't know his name,

A new buzzing clashed against the other and she dug in a side pocket for her phone.

The text read, "I'm standing outside the waterpark, upper level. I will wait exactly three minutes for you."

She was just a few stores from the waterpark. She could see the signage. Stopping at a bench, she dug in her bag, found the offending toy, and turned it off. Then she raced down the hall to her new master. She still didn't know what he looked like, but in her mind he had warm brown eyes and a girl peeked out from behind him.

Hold My Hand as Romance Beckons - @palomabeck

I'm happy to host another author on my blog! We participate in several features together and she is the administrator of one of my Tribes. It really is past time I hosted her! Welcome Paloma Beck.
The first thing I noticed is that you have a separate section for your weekly features and your blog. Your blog focuses primarily on promoting other authors, and includes the occasional blog hop. Your weekly features are things like Saturday Spankings, Sexy Snippets and Hump Day Hook. Is there a reason you keep the two separate?

It just made sense to me. My features page has the three memes I post each week that have excerpts from my published books or works in progress. My blog has weekly memes that are for other purposes aside from excerpts. For example, every Tuesday I create a 200-word story from a photo as part of the Tantalizing Tuesday group. These will unlikely become a book but is still a fun way to show my art of writing. Then I also host guest authors on my blog every Thursday and Friday. I try once every week or so to post a “Paloma’s Roadtrips” update about where I’ve been on the world wide web and what I’ve been up to.

The division does seem clear. Do you find you dilute your readership by pointing them in two different directions?

#TantalyzingTuesday - Curious Kitten

Another Tantalizing Teaser from the soon to come Prequel to Blue Moon House, Kitten. Jocelyn and her curiosity! Make sure you read all the other 200 word teasers on the blog.

Her biggest question, which came every time her eye landed on the spike in the ceiling, was why they played with their prey.

There was one thing she could answer, one thing she did know. She didn't want to leave. Go home for a few days, fine, but she did not want to be asked to leave and not return. If that meant trusting these strange creatures, they'd done nothing to betray that trust. If it meant being obedient, well, she'd have to practice, that was all.

She expected the puzzling, added to the late hour, would make her sleepy, but it didn't. The house became quiet, but still she sat.

Frustrated, she opened her door and peeked into the hall. There were a few lamps giving very dim illumination, but it was enough that she felt confident following the wall. Her curiosity would one day get the better of her, but so far, it had still only brought her good things. As she passed the parlor, she heard sounds again. They led her to a staircase. At the base of the stairs she could hear much more clearly what was happening above. It sounded like her kind of party.
